Reflection erasmus+ from the week in Sweden By Vera (Sweden)

When I joined the erasmus+ project in my school, I didn’t have any huge expectations. I thought that practicing my English and etwinning with random people in Europe would make a good English grade. I didn’t know about everything that was ahead of me. When I went up to fly to gdansk, I realized that this wasn’t just a school activity. It was an adventure, a new experience and a possibility to mature and learn about yourself and others. In several discussions we talked about the differences in our lifestyles, and I began to see patterns in my life that didn’t appear in the other’s lifestyles. We learned a lot about ourselves and each other through talking, investigating, discovering and laughing. Even though the weather went from summer to midwinter in 24 hours, and I had to put on my fluffy winter jacket above the tank top during the last days, we had so much fun. We were out in Bydgoszcz almost every night and we ate great food, and saw so many pretty buildings. All those fun activities made a needed break from the long “blogsessions”. I made new friends as we mixed the groups and spoke to many new people. It felt like I was away for a month, although it was only a week. And to be honest I was exhausted when we were heading home. I think the funniest part of the trip was just strolling around in the cities, because they were so beautiful and colorful, which we never see in our grey sweden. But that’s just if you don’t count the visits on several good restaurants and great conversations with new people (:

There are a few pictures from my trip below!

During my trip to poland I thought a lot about how living in Sweden affects my life and what differences there could have been if I grew up somewhere else. Sometimes I was bored because the computers didn’t work or we didn’t understand a task. Sometimes I was a new version of myself that I have never known before, as I took a responsibility, understood a concept or connected to people in a completely new way. It was a true challenge, but a great experience! If you get the chance to be a part of a project like this, take it. Maybe you don’t feel yourself changing in the meantime. But after, you will look back at yourself and realize your own development!
